Last-Mile Food Delivery Specialist

A day in this role

You begin with a quick safety sweep of your vehicle, confirming lights, tires, and essentials are good to go. Your first stops are partner locations—restaurants, warehouses, and other food-service sites—where you carefully pick up orders. Before you head out, you verify each ticket for correct items and quantities, secure the packaging, and organize the load so the next drop is easy to reach.

On the road, you follow assigned delivery routes with GPS guidance, adhere to traffic laws, and observe company safety procedures. At each destination, you communicate clearly and professionally with customers, capture delivery confirmations or collect payments when required, and provide courteous service—solving straightforward delivery questions on the spot. If anything is missing, damaged, or incorrect, you promptly report it to your supervisor. Throughout the shift, you handle food with care, maintain proper food-safety standards, and keep your vehicle clean and orderly. As you continue, you perform basic vehicle checks as needed to ensure everything stays in top shape.
