This position responds to emergency calls and planned events, providing advanced life support, firefighting, and rescue services. Eligible candidates must have at least one year of verifiable full-time experience as Firefighter Paramedic / EMT. Key Responsibilities:Respond to fire, medical, rescue, hazardous materials, and other emergency incidents.Provide advanced and basic life support and transport patients to medical facilities.Perform fire suppression tasks including forcible entry, ventilation, salvage, and overhaul.Operate and maintain fire apparatus, tools, and emergency equipment.Conduct building inspections, hydrant testing, and fire prevention activities.Support community wellness programs and provide public education.Participate in ongoing training, station maintenance, and equipment readiness.Complete required documentation, reports, and administrative tasks. Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDValid Utah Class D Driver LicenseMust have at least one year of verifiable, full-time firefighting experienceUtah EMT-Basic certificationUtah Advanced EMT certification or ability to obtain within one year of hireUtah Firefighter II certification or ability to obtainMust meet department physical ability standards Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of emergency medical protocols, fire suppression techniques, and rescue operations.Ability to operate firefighting and medical equipment.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work in high-stress situations, in all weather conditions, and during extended shifts.Familiarity with local geography, fire codes, and safety standards.
