We're seeking a CNC Lathe Operator who is interested in growing into setup and programming. This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable manufacturing company that offers hands-on training and the chance to develop additional machining skills.This is a low-volume, high-mix environment where flexibility is important. Rather than running the same part all day, you'll perform frequent setups and work in other manufacturing areas as production needs change. Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate 2-axis CNC lathes (Hardinge & YCM)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and part specifications
  • Perform 2-5 machine setups per day in a low-volume production environment
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators
  • Make tool wear offsets and minor program edits as needed
  • Verify first-piece quality and maintain tight tolerances throughout production
  • Assist in other manufacturing areas when machining demand is lower
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area
Qualifications
  • Experience operating CNC lathes; setup experience preferred
  • Candidates with solid CNC operator experience who are eager to learn setup and programming are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with Fanuc controls preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
  • Basic understanding of G-code/M-code edits is a plus
  • Experience machining stainless steel is helpful
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
