What you’ll do:
• Launch, analyze and manage quality documentation related to New Launch Programs for AOA's Assembly Plants Assess new line quality controls and repeatability Determine and champion new control and monitoring methods to ensure first-time quality
• Monitor process capability and identify improvement opportunities
• Champion quality initiatives on the manufacturing floor
• Responsible for delivering on quality related metrics for their area (non-quality cost, customer PPM, new launch readiness, etc.)
• Effective time management
• Drive continuous improvement and systemic defect elimination initiatives within their area of ownership to more sustainable results
• Promotes knowledge and application of the Standards.
• Actively contributes to reduction of TNQC
• Champion fundamental Quality approaches (PPAP, FMEA, IATF, VDA, Jidoka, Zero Defect, Quality First, etc.) both in the Design and the Process in their production team.
• Lead by example. Be an ambassador for Autoliv by demonstrating the Autoliv Way and ‘Q5 behavior’
• Defines specific quality training requirements for their scope of ownership
• Evaluate work of the team and identify growth opportunities for individual team members
• Ensures that all applicable customer specific product quality requirements their product area are fulfilled.
• Reports on quality performance indicators.
• Enforces stable and in-control processes
• Maintain Launch Timelines to meet key dates
• Review reports, documentation and customer concerns directly with customers
What is required:
• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred with some level of work experience.
• Exception being a person who has multiple years of QE experience without degree who shows ability to comprehend, problem solve and learn at a high-functioning level.
• Additionally preferred would be someone who has a level of understanding of the Autoliv Production System or who has experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Understanding of technical drawings, Advanced problem solving skills, Knowledge of mechancial systems, understanding of production line processes, professional communication skills and ability to be front-facing to customers.
• Keen eye for quality and ability to juggle multiple critical projects at a time. Beneficial to have experience in a manufacturing field.
• Beneficial to have quality certifications. Beneficial to have 8D Problem solving experience.
