What You’ll Be Doing:

Start your career with Nextech through our structured, accelerated 8-week Technician Level 1 readiness program. You’ll join Nextech as a full-time employee from day one while receiving paid technical instruction, classroom training, hands-on field experience, and mentorship designed to prepare you for a successful career servicing commercial HVAC-R systems.

• Learn Nextech processes and the fundamentals of commercial HVAC-R maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Build practical skills through direct field training and regular hands-on assessments.
• Support commercial HVAC-R service, installation, and maintenance activities.
• Complete academic assignments and online coursework during allotted paid training time.
• Follow Nextech safety policies and help promote a strong safety-first culture.
• Deliver dependable service while working to meet customer expectations.
• Accurately document completed work using company-provided software and devices.
• Follow applicable federal, state, and local licensing and safety requirements.
• Build the technical foundation needed to progress into an HVAC-R/PM Technician career.

Min Compensation: USD $23.00/Hr. Max Compensation: USD $25.00/Hr. What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for motivated candidates ready to turn their HVAC education into a long-term career. Bring your work ethic, curiosity, and commitment to doing things the right way—we’ll provide a structured environment where you can continue building your skills.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an HVAC trade school required.
• EPA 608 Universal certification required.
• Great attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, coachable, and able to take direction.
• Strong sense of urgency with a commitment to quality work.
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance, communication style, and demonstrated integrity.
• Ability to operate a smartphone, tablet/iPad, and basic software applications.
• Ability to attend the full 8-week program, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
• Willingness to coordinate and satisfactorily make up missed coursework with the Program Director.
• After graduation, ability to work overtime as needed and travel to assigned client sites.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• May be required to use a personal smartphone with a camera capable of reading a QR code for two-factor authentication.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights, including rooftops.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, outdoor, and changing environmental conditions.
• Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
