JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Plant Operations Director, the Laundry Aide tends laundering machines to clean
facility linens and personal articles of patients. Loads articles into washer and selects proper program to washer
and dryer cycles. Lifts clean wet articles from washer and places them into dryers for measured time cycles. Sorts
dry articles, folds and places items in appropriate storage shelves or Linen closets.
DEPT. SCOPE OF SERVICE:
The Environmental Services Department is responsible for meeting the needs of its customers, which include all
patient care areas (Med-Surg, ER, OR, outpatient and diagnostic services, doctor's offices, etc.), by providing them
with a clean, sanitary and aesthetically pleasing environment while following basic established safety, cleaning and
infection control practices. The scope of service includes providing suitable linen in sufficient quantities, while
identifying and anticipating customers' future needs. The Department will assist in meeting the needs of all areas through revising schedules, creating items to meet unusual needs-such as curtains, cart covers, etc. This is conducted
seven days a week.

Compensation Disclosure in Accordance with Vermont Act 155
In compliance with Vermont Act 155, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital provides the compensation range for this position in good faith. The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness. Final compensation will be determined during the hiring process.
