Laundry Aide

Rate: $16.60 - $19.06/hour (depending on experience)

Shift: Full-Time

Schedule: Evenings (3 pm - 11 pm)

Autumn View Health Care Facility is looking to add a Laundry Aide to its team. In this role, you'll help ensure residents and departments have clean linens and clothing while supporting a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, hang, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry
  • Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available and distributed to departments throughout the facility
  • Label and process resident personal clothing and return clean items to appropriate rooms and storage areas
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and maintain proper chemical supplies for laundry operations
  • Weigh, track, and process laundry according to facility procedures and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete assigned cleaning tasks
  • Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards promptly
  • Follow HIPAA, infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum experience requirement: No experience required; 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, sort, and process laundry throughout the workday
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and resident-centered environment
  • Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
