As a Laundry Attendant, you’ll play an important role in keeping hotel laundry operations running smoothly while supporting exceptional cleanliness and guest experience standards behind the scenes. 

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You’ll help ensure hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry are cleaned, organized, and prepared to the highest standards every day.

What you’ll be doing 

• Wash, dry, fold, sort, press, and organize hotel linens, towels, and guest laundry according to hotel standards and operational procedures. 

• Operate laundry equipment safely and effectively including washers, dryers, irons, presses, and folding equipment. 

• Inspect linens and laundry items for cleanliness, damage, stains, and presentation quality before distribution. 

• Maintain cleanliness and organization across laundry rooms, storage areas, workstations, and laundry equipment. 

• Assist with linen inventory organization, stock replenishment, and operational supply management. 

• Follow laundry procedures, sanitation standards, chemical handling guidelines, and hotel safety policies at all times. 

• Support timely delivery and distribution of clean linens and uniforms to hotel departments as needed. 

• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or operational concerns promptly to leadership. 

• Assist with loading, unloading, sorting, and transporting laundry carts throughout the property. 

• Partner closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Operations teams to support smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction. 

• Help maintain a safe, organized, and team-focused work environment aligned with Sonesta’s People People culture. 

• Any other duties as assigned. 

What great looks like 

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, hotel, cleaning, or operational experience preferred. 

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. 

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, quality, and organization. 

• Ability to safely operate laundry equipment and handle cleaning chemicals according to safety standards. 

• Strong teamwork, reliability, and time management skills. 

• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to support the team wherever needed. 

• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
