What You'll Do

• Operates heavy laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, pressers and steamers.

• Fold and organize bedding, towels, etc. for the Worlds of Fun Village.

• Launder live show and event costumes, ensuring they are ready for use in a timely manner

• Ensures a clean and organized work environment

• Collects packages and other deliveries as needed

• Assists with distribution and collection of costumes and other items during events

• Reports any laundry items that are damaged or unusable to supervisor

• Provides guest service according to Worlds of Fun standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Worlds of Fun Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

• Meets Worlds of Fun's attendance requirements as outlined in Enchanted Parks attendance policies.

• Adheres to Worlds of Fun's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

• Assist with additional duties as assigned by leadership

What We're Looking For

• Minimum age: 16
• Ability to work with laundry chemicals and change containers as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to see computer screens for a variety of reasons
• Ability to work with hand tools
• Ability to work with machinery/equipment
• Ability to work in tight working areas such as booths, file rooms, storage
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather
• Strong teamwork skills and professional behavior
• Perform these job functions with or without reasonable accommodations

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support park operations.
