About this position: Laundry Attendant                        Location – Nome, AK

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate commercial washer, dryers, and other laundry equipment
• Sort wash, dry, fold, and organize linens according to proper procedures
• Check linens for stains, tears, or damage and treat or report as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, equipment, and storage areas
• Monitor inventory of linens, chemicals, and supplies; report low stock
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards
• Handle laundry items with care to prevent shrinkage, color fading, or damage
• Deliver clean linens to designated areas when required
• Assist with special cleaning projects or tasks assigned

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience but not required
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30-50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in warm environments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part a team

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Time management
• Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals and equipment (or willingness to learn)
• Organization and multitasking
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Fast-pace setting requiring repetitive motion
• Weekend and holiday shifts are required

Preferred

• Fast-paced environments and having no issues working in heat or completing physical demanding tasks
• Maintaining a steady pace and perform well under pressure

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements

• This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
