Position: Laundry Attendant
Reports to: Executive Housekeeper
Purpose of the position:
Attendant will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens
Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing according to established procedures
- Inspect items for stains, damages, or wear and report issues to the appropriate department
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines and dryers
- Follow proper handling and storage of clean and soiled linens
- Keep laundry area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of laundry supplies
- Collaborate with housekeeping and other hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens
- Handle guest requests for additional linens or laundry services
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals
- Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions
Requirements and Skills
- Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Ability to operate and maintain laundry equipment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
- Basic understanding of fabric care and laundry procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Initiative to identify and address laundry-related issues proactively
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and efficient laundry operation
