Job Description
Law Clerk I - Washington, DC
Duration: Long term (24+ months), Onsite
Seeking for a professional to provide litigation support with significant legal writing and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct complex legal research and assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and memoranda.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege, and support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
Must-Have Skills:
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery procedures and resources.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in legal writing.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in claims assessment and analysis.
Requirements:
- JD required or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed.
