Job Description
Law Clerk I - Remote/Hybrid, Washington, DC
Duration: 7 months
Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Supervisor.
- Perform complex legal research for trial staff.
- Assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
Required Skills:
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Hands-on familiarity with computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
- Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
- Ability to review and draft pleadings, and support client needs in processing and litigating cases.
