Job Description
Law Clerk I - Remote, Washington, DC
Duration: 12+ months
Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Supervisor.
- Perform complex legal research for the trial staff.
- Assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
Required Skills:
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
- Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
Additional Requirements:
- At least 1 year of Relativity document review experience.
- Some legal writing experience.
