Job Description
Law Clerk II - Washington, DC
Duration: 12+ months, Onsite
Position Details:
- Work under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Manager.
- Perform complex legal research and prepare draft legal documents.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
- Act independently and/or as a team leader on larger projects.
- Primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other staff.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in litigation support or related projects.
- Proven communication skills to interact successfully with attorneys.
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Hands-on familiarity with computer applications like word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
- Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
Additional Specifics:
- At least 2 years of Relativity document review experience.
- Legal writing experience is required.
- Some legal research experience is necessary.
