Job Description
Law Clerk II - Washington, DC
Duration: 12+ months (Onsite)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Perform complex legal research and prepare draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
- Act independently or as a team leader on larger projects.
- Serve as the primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, and other client staff.
Required Skills:
- Minimum two years of progressively responsible experience in litigation support or related projects.
- Proven capabilities and excellent communication skills for successful client and attorney interaction.
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Hands-on familiarity with various computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging.
- Knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
