Education & Credentials
- Juris Doctor (JD) required.
Required Skills
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Hands-on familiarity with computer applications: word processing, databases (document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging
- Hands-on familiarity with Client tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
Role Specifics:
- Must have at least 1 year of Relativity document review experience.
- Must have legal writing experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or Project Supervisor performing duties such as:
- Conduct complex legal research for trial staff.
- Assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and memoranda of law.
- Review documents for relevance and privilege.
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
