Description
Our client, a highly regarded and growing Houston area law firm, has an immediate opening for an experienced Law Firm File Clerk/Runner to join their team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Run local errands for firm partners and managers
Read, scan, document, and distribute/route high volume incoming correspondence
Retrieve, organize, and file client documents and files
Maintain document files using case management software
Frequently assist in the movement of boxes
Monitor inventories in supply room and kitchen, and conference room set-up and maintenance
Assist with special projects as needed from trial teams
REQUIREMENTS:
Manage a variety of daily tasks within the standard business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m
Ability to work in varying environments and be on your feet
Excellent oral communication, writing, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently without significant supervision
Ability to prioritize and complete numerous and complex assignments on time
Thrive on obtaining favorable results in a fast-paced law firm environment
Willing to work extended hours as needed to accommodate caseload demands
Familiar with Office 365 suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn contemporary technology in law practice
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
This is a contracted position (90 days) subject to permanent hire.
