A well-established law firm is seeking a detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist to oversee full-cycle accounts payable and receivable functions. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting billing operations, and ensuring timely collections. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in a legal or professional services environment and thrives in a structured, deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable including invoice review, coding, approvals, and timely processing
• Handle accounts receivable functions including invoicing, posting payments, and monitoring aging reports
• Follow up on outstanding balances and coordinate collections efforts with attorneys and clients
• Assist with legal billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client guidelines
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger entries
• Maintain accurate vendor and client records
• Process expense reports and ensure proper documentation
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• Generate financial and AR/AP reports for leadership as needed
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and accounting best practices

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of AP/AR or general accounting experience (law firm or professional services preferred)
• Experience with legal billing systems (Elite, Aderant, or similar) is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, especially in collections and client interaction
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities

Compensation is $60-75k DOE, this is 100% OnSite.
