Lawn Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

TheLawn Technician position is to perform service calls, initial services, and fillin forLawn Specialist routes when they are out. They may also provide overflow coverage of recurring services asdeemednecessary by management. These technicians’dayscan vary by service area and location daily and require flexible scheduling day by day.

Duties include:

• Complete the application of fertilizers, pesticides,herbicidesand fungicides on a preset dailyroute

• Identifylawn and or pest problems and develop solutions to thoseproblems

• Establish effective working relationships with a variety of customers, both internal and external

• Safely drive a company vehicle

• Use of handheld computerized equipment to manage service calls anddocuments

• Provide customers with general information about ourvariousservices

• Conduct service calls asneeded

• Problem solving and/or complaintresolution

Requirements:

• Must enjoy workingoutdoors

• Must enjoy hands onwork

• Ability to safely drive a large, heavy lawntruck

• No fear of bugs, snakes, rodents, etc.

• Able to withstandlong periodsof standing, walking, kneeling, stooping,squatting

• Be able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs

• Have excellent communicationskills

• Be competent with the use ofnewtechnology

• Be organized and able to manage their own dailyroute

Required Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age

• Have a valid Florida driver's license with minimal movingviolations

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type:This is a full-time position.  Some Saturdays may be.

Travel:Local daily travel within the assigned territory.
