Schedule:2nd shift is Monday - Friday 3PM to 11 PM

Position summary:

Perform various duties to check orders and load store merchandise onto trailer, remove and palletize store returns, totes, and materials from returning trailers.
Conducts loading of merchandise onto trucks for store delivery.
Carries out safe work practices and maintains performance expectations for accuracy. Contributes to warehouse support functions.

General purpose:

Load merchandise onto the trailer.

Responsibilities:

Uses forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to safely move and position the items onto the vehicle.
Inspects for damages, defects, or any other issues that could impact the quality of the products and reports any quality concerns to supervisors or appropriate personnel to ensure that only high-quality goods are loaded for delivery.
Arranges load requirements to maximize trailer use and minimize imbalance, unnecessary movement, and damage.
Conducts preliminary safety checks of equipment, checks orders, and verifies trailer size and number.
Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Contributes to maintaining accurate inventory records and helps to track stock levels, monitor product availability, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Ensures that the correct products, quantities, and specifications match the order requirements which involves checking labels, SKU numbers, and other identifying information to avoid any discrepancies.
Determines that the weight distribution on the truck is balanced to maintain stability and prevent accidents during transportation.
Coordinates with warehouse personnel, drivers, or other loaders to ensure smooth loading operations.

Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
Ability to operate and be certified as an operator on motorized material handling equipment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be detail oriented and have a high degree of accuracy.

Basic computer skills:

Lock truck into dock using DOKLOK equipment.
Manually stack and pack merchandise from extendable conveyor onto trailer, or stack to a pallet if a palletized load and stretch wrap.
Separate RX totes on their own pallets as they come down the conveyor and count number of RX Totes. Record number on RX Parcel Log with RX attendant and also record on Load Diagram.
Place boards and load bars in between orders.
Complete load diagram during the loading process.
Close and seal trailer doors.
Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
Frequent overtime offered, particularly during high volume periods, to ensure that all stores are serviced according to daily schedule.
Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Competencies:

Hand delivers Trailer Stripping Checklist, Load Diagram, and all additional paperwork to Supervisor as completed.
Housekeeping as required.

Physical demands and work environment:

Physical demands: This position has a lifting requirement of 100 lbs for 0% to 33% of the time, and 50 lbs for 34% to 66%.
Other physical activities include bending/reaching/stooping 67% to 100% of the time and walking/standing/climbing 67% to 100% of the time.
Work environment: Warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment, and conveyors.
Never step on or jump over a conveyor line.
Never place hands in rollers and/or conveyor.
If an issue occurs with a roller or conveyor line, pull the emergency stop cord and contact your supervisor and/or facility services.
