Ldar Tagging & Inventory Technician
PROtect, LLC is looking for an experienced LDAR Tagging & Inventory Technician to support emissions monitoring, inventory management, and compliance audits across industrial client sites.
This is a travel-based role for technicians who know LDARand want to expand their experience, work on different sites, and play a key role in keeping major facilities compliant.

LDAR Tagging & Inventory
- Follow assigned routes to identify and verify LDAR-tagged components
- Maintain accurate inventory of valves, pumps, and process equipment
- Read and interpret P&IDs to ensure proper component tracking
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and missing components
Monitoring, Auditing & Compliance
- Perform emissions monitoring using Method 21 and other EPA protocols
- Conduct LDAR audits and gap analysis across site programs
- Support BWON, AVO, and Subpart QQQ inspections as needed
- Re-monitor repaired components and validate compliance
Data, Systems & Reporting
- Upload monitoring data and complete emissions reports
- Enter and manage work orders within client databases
- Manage MOC (Management of Change) updates to ensure accurate system records
- Review data for accuracy and identify compliance risks
Site Communication & Coordination
- Communicate daily with plant operations and maintenance teams
- Report leaks, issues, and improvement opportunities
- Work closely with supervisors and leadership to meet client expectations
Safety & Field Execution
- Follow all safety procedures and report incidents or near misses
- Wear required PPE, including respirators
- Support overall site safety and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year of LDAR experience in refinery or chemical plant environments
- Strong understanding of emissions monitoring and compliance programs
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
- Experience with handheld analyzers and data collection systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
- Experience with TVA, OGI/IR, BWON, AVO, or Subpart QQQ
- Prior auditing or gap analysis experience
- Multi-site or travel-based LDAR work
Work Environment
- Industrial facilities (refineries, chemical plants, etc.)
- Travel-based role (varied job sites)
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Physically active role including climbing, lifting, and extended fieldwork
- Exposure to noise, fumes, and industrial conditions (with proper PPE)
