Teamwork - the student will work with other interns, transition guides, and professional staff and will have to build and maintain a relationship together to work towards a common goal and shared responsibilities.
Critical Thinking - the student will problem solve and/or respond to student and family needs based upon an understanding of situational context
Equity and Inclusion - the student will actively help make orientation and welcome week events be inclusive and accessible events while also understanding and demonstrating awareness of differences.
Technology - the student will use a variety of platforms and technologies to complete tasks such as Outlook, VisitDays, Excel, Guidebook, etc.
The LDCE Student Intern serves as Gannon University's first point of contact with our first-year students as well as helps support engagement across the university. As a representative of Gannon University, LDCE Student Interns will be expected to enhance the student experience by promoting learning and development through engagement, fostering community among small groups, and encouraging a culture of dialogue and understanding.
