About Us:We are a Christian preschool and daycare located inside Nampa College Church of the Nazarene, dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and faith-centered environment for children. Our mission is to support the growth and development of each child while reflecting Christ’s love through compassionate care and meaningful relationships.

Position Summary:We are seeking a full-time Lead Two’s Teacher to guide and support children in our 2-year-old classroom. This is a fast-paced, high-energy environment where children are actively developing social, emotional, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is confident, patient, and compassionate, with a strong ability to manage and redirect behaviors while teaching children appropriate ways to express themselves.

The teacher must be able to navigate creating structure, maintaining a calm classroom, and equipping children with the tools and language they need to succeed in social situations. Hours needing coverage can be flexible. We need 8:00 am–3:00 pm; if more hours are desired, that is an option.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a classroom of 2-year-olds in a structured, engaging, and nurturing environment
  • Support social and emotional development by teaching children appropriate behaviors, boundaries, and communication skills
  • Confidently manage and redirect challenging behaviors with patience, consistency, and care
  • Help children develop language to express needs, emotions, and conflicts
  • Create a classroom atmosphere that is calm, safe, and responsive, even during high-energy or tense moments
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support development and engagement (we provide the curriculum)
  • Implement the ABC curriculum as well as the Bible curriculum 
  • Maintain consistent routines while adapting to individual developmental needs
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and daily updates logged through Procare 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Model Christ-like behavior and contribute to a positive, drama-free workplace culture

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a childcare setting (required)
  • Strong understanding of toddler development, especially social and emotional growth
  • Proven ability to manage behaviors in a calm, confident, and constructive way
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, sometimes high-energy classroom environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable, responsible, and punctual
  • Comfortable using childcare communication apps
  • Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused attitude
  • Patient, consistent, and nurturing demeanor with firm but loving guidance

Faith Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Ability to model Christian values in daily interactions with children, families, and staff

Certifications & Requirements:

  • Must have (or be able to quickly obtain) an Enhanced Background Check through Idaho Health & Welfare
  • Current Pediatric and Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Enrolled in Idaho Stars
