The Lead Production worker is responsible for the smooth operation and coordinates the day to day work for their lines, satisfying production needs, and maintaining consistent levels of service. Responsible for ensuring operational compliance to all food safety policies and procedures including SQF requirements. Takes care of mixing and roasting, ensuring compliance with QC and safety and trains other workers as needed.

Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications:
· High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience
Experience:
· Experience in a food or related Manufacturing Production environment preferred
· Experience in operating a Form, Fill, Seal packaging machine. Either Vertical or Horizontal.
· 1-2 years of experience
Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities:
· Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
· Understands Safety guidelines
· Knowledge of applicable production management system (prod)
· Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, ISO, QS Guidelines and Procedures Skills/ Abilities:
· Able to work in an environment containing Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Soy, Wheat, and Milk
· Requires the ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic computations.
· Requires dexterity, basic mechanical reasoning, problem-solving, and the ability to learn.
· Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area that promotes safety and efficiency.
· The ability to function as an individual requiring minimal supervision
· Team Engagement; Ability to work in cross-functional teams
· Perform repetitive motions throughout shift such as push/pull/lift, bend continuously throughout the shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to climb stairs or step up onto a platform several times throughout the shift.
· Ability to stand for a long period of time (duration of the shift)
· Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Work Environment:
Onsite Role:
· This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center or office.
Travel (minor):
· This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.
Physical Environment/Demands:
Warehouse Roles:
· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
· Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation.
· Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
· Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
· Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work-related equipment.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· Woodstock Farms: Ability to work in an environment containing tree nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat, sesame, milk and different spices like pepper, chili, etc.
