Job Purpose/Description
This position leads Saints Learning Commons academic guides programming, staffing, and data collection. This student creates and leads programming under the direction of the Director of Academic Access & Support.
Job Duties
- Assist the director with guide training materials and curriculum development.
- Assist the center with content creation (e.g., 15 time management strategies).
- Weekly one-hour meetings with the director.
- Weekly update emails to the academic guides.
- Serve as the conduit between the director, guide, students, and Commons' needs.
- Oversee space management - welcoming, supportive, staffed, etc.
- Management of the Stall Street Journals - curate content, edit, print, and post with assistance from other guides.
- Build the schedules for semesters and finals week.
- Offer feedback and suggestions on improvements.
- Assist with team development and hiring processes.
- Sit on the programming committee and serve as the administrative executive.
- Comfortable public speaking and training fellow students.
- Conduct data analysis at the end of the semester based on how many students interacted with the center.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current CSS student
- Federal work study eligibility is required
Experience and Availability
- Experience working in the Saints Learning Commons
- Able to work 10 hrs/week
- Available over the summer for planning work
- Jr or Sr Status
