Overview:
This role is intentionally designed as an onsite position because regular in-person collaboration with engineering teams, business partners, architects, vendors, and leadership is essential.
Summary
In this role, you will be the technical delivery leader for enterprise Intelligent Automation initiatives. You will determine the appropriate technologies, solution architecture, engineering approach, technical skills, and support model required for successful delivery.
You will lead AI Automation Engineers and Senior AI Automation Engineers across multiple initiatives and remain accountable for technical quality, delivery success, production readiness, and operational support. You will partner with the Manager, AI Intelligent Automation, who owns intake, funding, prioritization, staffing, and portfolio flow, and with the Director to execute the enterprise transformation roadmap.
Responsibilities
Own solution architecture and technical delivery for enterprise automation initiatives.
Select the appropriate technology, platform capabilities, integration approach, and engineering patterns for each initiative.
Define the skills, roles, effort, technical dependencies, and delivery approach required for successful execution.
Lead multiple engineers, including Senior AI Automation Engineers, through design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Be accountable for technical delivery commitments, engineering quality, production readiness, and ongoing solution support.
Define and govern reference architectures, reusable frameworks, engineering standards, design patterns, and lifecycle practices.
Lead architecture reviews, technical assessments, design approvals, complex troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
Drive adoption of advanced capabilities including Agentic Automation, AI Agents, Intelligent Document Processing, Process Mining, and Generative AI.
Provide the Manager with technical estimates, skill requirements, capacity needs, risks, and dependencies for portfolio planning.
Present solution recommendations, technical risks, delivery status, and tradeoffs to business and technology leaders.
Develop engineers through coaching, technical feedback, knowledge sharing, and leadership opportunities.
Qualifications
12+ years of software engineering, enterprise automation, or platform engineering experience.
8+ years of enterprise UiPath engineering experience.
5+ years leading technical teams or complex enterprise automation initiatives.
Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise automation ecosystems.
Experience owning solution architecture, engineering standards, delivery lifecycle, and production support.
Experience defining technical skills, effort, architecture, and delivery plans for multiple initiatives.
Strong technical leadership, executive communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Ability and willingness to work onsite in Vizient''s Irving, Texas office.

Preferred Experience
UiPath Solution Architect or Advanced Developer certifications.
Experience leading enterprise Automation Centers of Excellence or large automation programs.
Experience presenting architecture and delivery recommendations to senior leadership.
Healthcare or other regulated industry experience.
