**Lead Analyst, Data Governance & Strategy, Circle K Stores Inc., Tempe,
AZ:**
Lead communication with business and technology stakeholders in
identifying data governance & master data needs and recommends solutions
to address those needs. Independently drives data impact analysis and
data quality initiatives for owned domains or functional areas.
Identifies and implements effective internal controls by monitoring
metrics and data, driving performance through improvement initiatives.
Owns the development of the business data dictionary, data catalog,
lineage and other related components for assigned business functions or
domains. Oversees and directs the actions of Data Stewards within the
various business units and business functions. Identifies and drives
execution of process improvement opportunities across multiple
functional areas or domains. Implements and/or aligns with data owners
on corrective actions to resolve any data quality problems. Understands
the upstream and downstream data impacts and directs the development,
implementation, and management of control structures and business rules
used to govern data transformations. Oversees development of enforcement
mechanisms for ensuring policies, processes, and standards are followed
for enterprise data. Designs mechanisms to monitor compliance with
established standards and metrics. Assesses and communicates data
changes and resulting impacts to Global Technology and Business Teams.
Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
Bachelors degree in business management, technology, engineering or a
related field and 4 years of work experience in a Data Governance, Data
Analysis, Data Science, or Data Delivery role.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Masters degree in business
management, technology, engineering or a related field and 2 years of
experience in a Data Governance, Data Analysis, Data Science, or Data
Delivery role.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in all of
the following:
- Master Data Management Platforms to support the creation of a Single
Source of Truth (SSOT) for key data and ensure consistency and
reliability of data required for operations and analytics;
- Using data governance tools to support creation and management of
data policies, management of data catalogs and lineage and profiling
and creation of data quality monitoring;
- Using data management tools to manage metadata, data lineage and key
components throughout the data lifecycle;
- Working with data structures, systems and BI tools related to data
management;
- Agile methodologies using project planning and tracking management
tools, including JIRA or Rally;
- Troubleshooting complex distributed systems; and
- Communicating the business benefits of analytics.
