A leading middle-market investment bank may seek a Lead Analyst to oversee deal execution, manage financial modeling and due diligence, and coordinate workflow across analysts and associates. These roles are ideal for candidates with prior transaction experience who are ready to take on leadership responsibilities within deals and client engagements.
Lead the preparation and maintenance of advanced financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution) to support deal structuring and valuation
Conduct in-depth industry research, benchmarking, and strategic analyses
Manage live M&A, capital markets, and restructuring engagements, coordinating tasks across analysts and associates
Prepare high-quality pitch books, investment memoranda, and client presentations
Oversee due diligence processes, data room management, and transaction execution
Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts on modeling, research, and deliverable preparation
Collaborate directly with senior bankers on client strategy, deal structuring, and execution planning
Identify and escalate key risks or opportunities within transactions
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced coursework is a plus
Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis
Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams and coordinate junior team members
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities
Ability to handle multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or transaction advisory strongly preferred
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet)
