Medline Industries, LP is seeking Lead Analysts Systems IT to join our team in Northfield, IL.
Job Description:
- Perform post-incident reviews of all major incidents and determine action items required to avoid similar issues/minimize downtime for future incidents.
- Work with application development to ensure that assigned applications/platforms have appropriate monitoring and metrics in place to appropriately measure performance and stability.
- Ensure that applications/platforms in the value stream are operationally ready for production.
- This includes: Annual review of all SOPs/knowledge articles.
- Monitor review for any new feature launch or other significant change that may impact monitoring.
- SOP/knowledge article review for any new feature launch or other significant change that may impact support documentation.
- Perform monthly capacity analysis of applications/platforms within the value stream/product.
- Create and maintain operationally focused ELK dashboards for the value stream/product.
- Define the service level objectives, service level indicators and service level agreements for the product/value stream with Product Owner/Product Manager.
- Competent in multiple technical domains, including programming languages, security, automation, testing, and business domains.
- Proactively identify and mitigate issues based on intuition and experience in multiple domains.
- Serve as a leader among team members and drive problem solving to determine root cause.
- Study requirements, assess environment and arrive at parameters to be considered for design.
- Prepare solution based on the requirements studied and identify the transformational workloads.
- Validate high-level design to ensure all base requirements are covered.
- Work with customers and team to mitigate any roadblocks during transition.
- Vet low-level design to bring in various technical towers and coordinate with internal and external vendors on implementing the design.
- Identify process gaps, propose process re-engineering, and analyze performance testing results, document and identify optimization opportunities within Medline's software stack.
- Utilize application development architectures including Microservice and Event-based.
- Review SOP and knowledge articles for feature.
- Perform monthly capacity analysis of applications/platforms.
- Create application dashboards and alerts.
- Mentor and coach Medline’s SRE team to adopt new tools and technologies, wherever applicable.
Job Requirements:
- PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Electronics Engineering, or related field, and 8 years of relevant work experience.
- ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Electronics Engineering, or related field, and 6 years of relevant work experience.
- In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Working in software engineering environments with Azure or AWS cloud and microservices. (2) Working in SRE culture and implementation techniques on Kubernetes. (3) Working on software development using any programming language such as Python or Go. (4) Designing application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines on Azure, AWS, or native Kubernetes. (5) Practicing in one or more technology domains: Cloud, Java and working cross-domain; creating technology solutions addressing high impact business priorities; and experience analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and deploying solutions and product features with high quality to production. (6) Working with infrastructure components including routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems such as Docker containers, Kubernetes Orchestrator.

WORK HOURS: Full Time (8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday)
PAY RANGE: $168,838.00 to $174,000.00 per year
