    Lead Teacher – Key Responsibilities

    • Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum
    • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
    • Lead daily classroom activities and inspire young learners
    • Observe, assess, and document children’s development and share insights with families
    • Maintain open, positive communication with families and guardians
    • Supervise indoor and outdoor activities while upholding health, safety, and licensing standards
    • Model and implement positive behavior guidance strategies
    • Support and mentor Assistant and Resource Teachers
    • Participate in ongoing professional development
    Lead Teacher Qualifications

    • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
    • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
    • 1–2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
    • Completion of state-required pre-service training
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    Assistant Teacher – Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
    • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
    • Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean learning environment
    • Supervise children and provide individualized care and support
    • Assist with daily care routines and classroom activities
    • Support communication with families regarding daily activities and progress
    • Adhere to all health, safety, and licensing regulations
    Assistant Teacher Qualifications

    • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
    • Basic understanding of child development
    • Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must meet state background check and credential requirements

Our year round program offers families the choice of either half day or full day schedule. We are delighted to be the on-site owners of The Goddard School on Theodore Street in Plainfield. Our play-based curriculum taught by our wonderful degreed teachers in a nurturing learning environment, is tailored to meet the social, intellectual, physical and emotional needs of each individual child.
