Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Applications Developer to join the largest natural-gas only distributor companies here in Dallas, Texas. This person will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. The role involves hands-on coding across multiple languages including Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL, T-SQL, Python, and C/C++ within a .NET framework. The developer will work with both SQL Server and Oracle databases and manage integrations using XML and SOAP protocols. They will also be responsible for configuring and supporting web servers such as IIS, Apache, and Tomcat. Familiarity with Git, Jira, and DevOps concepts is essential, as the role requires collaboration across development and operations teams to ensure efficient deployment and maintenance of applications. This position demands a strong technical foundation, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Requirements

· 5+ years of experience as an Application Developer in enterprise environments

· Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including:

· Java

· JavaScript

· Python

· T-SQL and PL/SQL

· C and C++ (within a .NET framework)

· Experience with web service technologies, specifically XML and SOAP for request/response handling

· Prior Web server configuration and support experience with IIS, Apache, and Tomcat

· Hands-on experience with database development and management using SQL Server and Oracle

· Familiarity with development tools and methodologies, including:

· Git (version control)

· Jira (project/task management)

· DevOps concepts (e.g., CI/CD, automation, deployment practice · Prior experience in ESRI or GIS-related development

· Exposure to enterprise-level integration projects null
