Lead Application Specialist

Albuquerque, NM

Are you ready to enhance your skills and build your career in a rapidly evolving business climate? Are you looking for a career where professional development is embedded in your employer’s core culture? If so, Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) could be the place for you! Join our team of professionals who support large-scale government operations by leveraging cutting-edge technology and take your career to the next level!

At Cyberstar, we aim to analyze and boost human and business performance through the implementation of business process redesign and information technology (IT) modernization to include data analytics and cloud computing.

We offer an alternate solution to improving the quality and effectiveness of business operations. In an ever-changing economy, Cyberstar helps companies better read and understand their market data through the synchronization of process innovation, human dynamics, analysis, and the integration of data technology capabilities, to ensure functional optimization in their business.

Cyberstar is seeking a Lead Application Specialist with direct IBM Maximo and Adobe ColdFusion development experience to serve as the application layer anchor for a Federal enterprise facility management system. This candidate will analyze and support application incidents, integration, and migration decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Leads application layer sustainment, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis at the source-code level across the full IBM Maximo and Adobe ColdFusion application stack.
  • Lead remediation of known integration defects between custom applications and Maximo from a defined problem statement
  • Assess how the capabilities map in current applications to Maximo application capabilities. Anticipate the need for integration and implementation exercises around data cleanup and workflow process design.
  • Develop and maintain API and integration functionality using a full development lifecycle to include requirements, isolated development, peer review, testing, validation, and release governance.
  • Conduct analysis and modification of the system to align the application functionality with project management processes and financial management requirements and streamline the overall business process.
  • Support the migration from Maximo 7.x to IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9, providing application layer expertise on which custom functionality migrates via lift and shift approach versus which requires redesign
  • Maintain and enhance ColdFusion application code during the transition period while supporting longer term migration of functionality to native Maximo
  • Ensure all components of the system are operating in the hosting environment.
  • Support data management activities ensuring data integrity is maintained during the upgrade/migration, including during any extraction, transformation, loading and testing of the data.
  • Participate in Architecture Review Committee and Change Advisory Board processes. Providing application-layer technical input to migration planning, release decisions, and risk assessments.
  • Other duties as assigned
