Lead ASME PED Senior Engineer

8 plus years of experience in Lead engineer with experience in static equipment design and handling of ASME Certification related documentation as well able to provide response/ update documents/ revalidate design documents based on Inspection Agency's finding. Well versed in AMSE Sec VIII, IX Code requirement, Welding and interpretations.

WPS Development & Review:

Draft, revise, and validate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) in accordance with ASME Section IX. Ensure WPS documents reflect current materials, welding processes, and joint configurations used in production.

WPQR

Prepare and maintain Welding Procedure Qualification Records (WPQR) based on test results and inspection reports. Coordinate with quality and engineering teams to ensure WPQRs are traceable and meet regulatory standards.

WPQ

Facilitate welder performance qualification (WPQ) testing and documentation. Ensure all welders are certified per applicable codes and maintain up-to-date records of qualifications.

Training & Compliance:

Develop and deliver training programs for welders and inspectors on ASME standards and internal procedures. Conduct refresher sessions and onboarding for new personnel to ensure consistent understanding of welding compliance.

Audit & Documentation Support:

Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits related to ASME certification.

Proficiency in design and calculation software (PV Elite, Compress, etc.) Expertise in stress analysis, load calculations, and material compliance Experience preparing PED technical dossiers and CE marking files

Identify gaps in current practices and recommend corrective actions to align with certification requirements Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 a year
