Wayne's Automotive is looking for a Lead Automotive Technician / Shop Foreman to help lead our busy, high-performing shop. This is more than a technician position—you'll play a key role in driving shop performance, mentoring technicians, and ensuring every repair meets the highest standard.

Your Impact

As our Lead Technician / Shop Foreman, you'll help set the pace for the entire shop. You'll continue performing advanced repairs while coaching technicians, improving workflow, and ensuring every customer receives quality service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead daily shop operations and technician workflow
• Assign repair orders based on technician strengths
• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs
• Handle engine, transmission, drivability, and electrical repairs
• Mentor and develop technicians
• Improve shop efficiency and productivity
• Partner with service advisors to keep repairs moving
• Help maintain quality control throughout the shop
• Foster a positive, team-first culture

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of professional automotive repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Proven leadership abilities
• Experience mentoring or leading other technicians
• Ability to manage workflow while remaining productive
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Dependable and team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Pennsylvania State Inspection License
• Pennsylvania Emissions License
• Previous Shop Foreman or Lead Technician experience

Shop & Equipment

• Approximately 50 vehicles per week
• Vehicle mix:
  • 40% Domestic
  • 40% Asian
  • 20% European
• Tekmetric shop management system
• Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI)
• Autel and Snap-on scan tools
