    Job Description:

    The Avionics Lead Technician is responsible for all functions assigned to provide airworthiness of the aircraft upon completion of maintenance at the facility. A Lead Avionics is required to be a certified A&P Technician.

     

    Essential duties and responsibilities:


     

    • Being available for consultation on matters relating to work being accomplished on his or her assigned aircraft
    • Lead and perform troubleshooting, repair, and return-to-service action on the assigned aircraft
    • Supervise team of 1-3 avionics mechanics or technicians
    • Ensuring all required paperwork is satisfactorily completed, signed, and complies with all existing regulations and procedures
    • Ensuring all equipment is properly used and adequate safeguards are in place to protect the customer’s aircraft and equipment
    • Monitoring and reporting to supervisors on the work of personnel under his or her responsibility, including work performance, productivity, quality, and personnel safety
    • Performing on-the-job training for personnel
    • Performing all other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements:

    •  Minimum 3 year of avionics experience preferred
    • Ability to read and interpret avionics wiring diagrams and schematics
    • Familiarity with modern avionics systems (Garmin, Honeywell, Collins, etc.)
    • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
    • The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required
    • Must possess current and active FAA A&P Certificate
