Job Description

Role Overview:
  • We are seeking an experienced and driven Cloud Architect and Lead Software Engineer to direct the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud-based solutions. You will leverage your technical expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build robust applications that support critical mission areas.
  • Schedule: Employees work an alternating schedule of 9 days per 14-day period, providing every other Friday off.
Key Responsibilities:
  • You will lead the design, development, configuration, and deployment of scalable and cost-effective cloud-based applications utilizing AWS best practices.
  • You will engage daily with customers to analyze technical requirements and deliver appropriate cloud-based solutions.
  • You will create comprehensive architectural designs that align directly with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • You will develop technical roadmaps to guide the long-term implementation and evolution of enterprise cloud solutions.
  • You will produce detailed documentation to ensure complete clarity and reproducibility across all design, development, and deployment phases.
  • You will deliver professional presentations to stakeholders, effectively translating complex technical concepts into accessible information.
  • You will adapt dynamically to support various mission areas, demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous mission success.
Required Qualifications:
  • You must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, you may hold a Graduate degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or have a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • You must hold a Security+ or equivalent DoD IAT Level II Certification, or have the ability to obtain one within 80 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior on-site or field-based deployment experience is highly valued.
  • Experience navigating the IATT and ATO security certification processes is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience automating deployments and configuring AWS EC2 instances is desired.
  • Familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments is a strong plus.
  • Experience configuring GitLab pipelines for the automated deployment of cloud resources is preferred.
  • A proven track record of collaboration within dynamic, team-oriented environments is highly desired.
