This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire position that sits hybrid (flexible in-office schedule) in Birmingham, AL. No 3rd parties please.




Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Architect and evolve enterprise-scale Azure cloud infrastructure, partnering with Networking, Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams to strengthen a secure, multi-tenant cloud platform
  • Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code modules (Bicep, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) that support both legacy-to-cloud migrations and new cloud-first initiatives
  • Lead cloud tenant migration efforts related to mergers, acquisitions, and integration of newly acquired business units
  • Standardize and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments, focused on scalability, observability, and container security
  • Drive Site Reliability Engineering practices — defining SLOs/SLIs, building automated monitoring and self-healing capabilities, and supporting production incident response
  • Integrate security tooling (identity, policy, key management) into DevOps workflows to maintain compliance and governance standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and application teams to establish reusable cloud deployment patterns and best practices

Position Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, including 5+ years focused specifically on Azure architecture and reliability engineering
  • Azure Certified Architect designation required
  • Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Bicep and/or Terraform) and modern CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration at scale
  • Background in enterprise identity and security integration (IAM, policy enforcement, key management)
  • Experience supporting M&A-driven infrastructure work such as tenant migrations or system integrations is highly valued
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and cross-functional teams
