Lead Back End Solution Architect

Requirements<\/h3>

We are seeking a hands -on Tech Lead / Solution Architect<\/b> to lead backend architecture and solution design for the Freddie Mac Multi -Family<\/b> division. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in Java, Python/Pyspark, AWS<\/b>, and microservices architecture<\/b>, coupled with deep domain experience in the mortgage industry<\/b>.

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/h4>

• Lead design and implementation of scalable microservice -based backend architectures<\/b>.
  <\/p><\/li>

• Define and enforce solution architecture and security architecture patterns<\/b> across platforms.
  <\/p><\/li>

• Collaborate with product and data teams to design and optimize data architecture and integration patterns<\/b>.
  <\/p><\/li>

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
  <\/p><\/li>

• Partner with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives.
  <\/p><\/li>

• Evaluate new technologies and drive modernization efforts within the backend ecosystem.

  Required Skills & Experience:<\/b>
  <\/h4>

  • 10+ years<\/b> of progressive backend engineering and architecture experience.
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Strong hands -on expertise with:
    <\/p>

    • Java+Spring Boot<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Python/PySpark<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • PostgreSQL, MongoDB<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • AWS cloud services<\/b>
      <\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

    • Proven experience designing microservices<\/b> and data -driven architectures<\/b>.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong understanding of security design patterns<\/b> and compliance considerations.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Prior experience within the mortgage, financial services, or housing industry<\/b> is highly preferred<\/b>.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage cross -functional teams and senior stakeholders.
      <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Preferred Qualifications:<\/b>
      <\/h4>

      • Experience leading multi -pod Agile teams in a complex enterprise environment.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • Exposure to CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
        <\/p><\/li>

      • AWS Certification (Architect or Developer) is a plus.
