The
Lead Barista assists the Starbucks Manager with training and development of staff. Performs duties of all positions within the department. Resolves employee and guest-related problems. Uses proper cash handling and accounting procedures. Acts as a Store Manager when required. Must possess working knowledge of computer terminal and cash register operations.
Qualifications - Prior Starbucks supervisory/Lead trainer experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other Team Members
- Experience with MICROS POS system or similar point-of-sale platforms a plus
- Prior ServeSafe Certification preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills & ability to multi-task
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early AM shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with various coffee beans and blends helpful
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques
- Prior cash handling experience
