Lead Barista (Coffee + Ice Cream) – Bring the Energy, Lead the Experience!
Job Summary
Do you love coffee, ice cream, and creating memorable moments for people? We’re looking for a Lead Barista who’s ready to step up, lead by example, and keep the good vibes flowing behind the counter.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person on shift—guiding the team, supporting daily operations, and making sure every guest leaves happier than when they walked in. Whether you’re crafting the perfect latte, building an over-the-top waffle cone, or coaching a teammate, you’ll help create an experience our guests come back for again and again.
What You’ll Do
Create Amazing Guest Experiences
- Welcome every guest with a friendly, upbeat attitude
- Take orders and make thoughtful recommendations
- Craft coffee drinks, shakes, floats, and ice cream creations with care (and a little flair!)
- Customize orders to make every guest feel special
Lead the Shift
- Set the tone by leading with positivity, urgency, and teamwork
- Help direct the flow of the shift and keep things running smoothly
- Communicate priorities clearly so the team stays on track
- Jump in wherever needed—no task is too big or too small
Train & Support the Team
- Coach team members using training tools and best practices
- Help new hires learn the ropes and feel confident
- Motivate and encourage teammates to do their best work
- Foster a fun, supportive, team-first environment
Keep Things Running Smoothly
- Handle cash register and transactions accurately
- Restock ice cream, toppings, coffee supplies, and guest essentials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming space
- Monitor product quality and ensure everything meets our standards
Own the Experience
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
- Lead by example when it comes to service, safety, and cleanliness
- Help create a space guests love—and a team that loves working there
What We’re Looking For
- Previous barista, food service, or cashier experience preferred
- Leadership or shift lead experience is a big plus
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask and stay cool in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and team-player mindset
Physical & Scheduling Requirements- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability (early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Comfortable handling a variety of tasks throughout each shift
