Rye Republic is a scratch kitchen and cocktail bar in Brewster, NY. We're looking for a lead bartender who wants to own a program, not just work one. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role with real creative and operational responsibility.
We make our own syrups, infusions, and tinctures. We work closely with the kitchen. If that sounds like the environment you want, read on.
You'll be the standard-bearer behind the stick, executing our current program with precision, developing new cocktails and seasonal menus, and helping set the tone for how the bar operates. That means specs, consistency, sidework accountability, and contributing to ordering and inventory. It also means being the kind of bartender guests come back for.
Hourly rate commensurate with experience, above standard bartender rate, plus tip pool participation. We'll have a real conversation about compensation and we're not going to waste your time or ours.
Casey and Kaitlin Troutman met in culinary school and built their careers in some of New York's best kitchens and dining rooms, including Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Union Square Cafe, and Gramercy Tavern. Rye Republic is what they built when they came home to Brewster, a place where the food and hospitality are taken seriously.
