We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Lead Bartender to join our team at the Westin Tampa Bay, a AAA Four Diamond hotel.ResponsibilitiesGreet guests as they arrive or move about the bar areaMaintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar dailyGuide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menuBe accurate in order taking, confirming all special requestsBe the master of the bar, understanding the details to enhance conversationWork collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staffAssist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happyFinalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentationRequisition and stock all beer, wine, spiritsResponsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product qualityMix, garnish, and present drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion controlInput orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guestLock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure the bankQualificationsEngaging and welcoming personalityCurrent bartender certification or appropriate licenseKnowledgeable in the latest trends in mixologyDescriptive selling skills2–4 years of bartender experienceKnowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spiritsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentPassion for creating an exceptional experience for all guestsExcellent communication skillsCompensationHourly rate: $10.98.
