Lead Bindery Operator (2nd Shift) Position Summary:

Cummings Printing is seeking a mechanically-inclined and experienced Lead Bindery Operator to join our team in Hooksett, NH, for our second shift operations. As the Lead Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for operating and overseeing the safe and efficient use of magazine binding machines, ensuring high-quality finished products while managing and guiding a crew of bindery personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain magazine binding machines efficiently and safely.
• Oversee the bindery crew, delegating tasks and providing guidance as needed.
• Maintain consistent quality control throughout the binding process.
• Monitor production schedules and meet deadlines.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of finished products.
• Train and mentor bindery crew members in the operation of machinery and safety procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting on bindery equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience operating and maintaining magazine binding machines or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team.
• Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Availability to work second shift hours.

Work Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• Second shift availability
