Lead Budtender - Nature's of Fort Lupton

This is a full time position, regularly scheduled 30-35 hours per week, with overtime when needed. Typically schedule for 5 shifts per week. This position requires open availability, since the store will be open from 8:00am - 9:00pm daily, including holidays and weekends. The only day the store is closed is Christmas Day. 

We are looking for a dynamic candidate with experience in customer service and cash handling. Previous retail management experience would be fantastic, and any background in the cannabis industry is a big plus. The ideal candidate is upbeat, enjoys engaging with both customers and team members, and is highly organized with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving industry. Given the highly regulated nature of our business, adhering to rules, regulations, and established SOPs is essential. High ethical standards are a must, as you will be responsible for handling both product and cash on a daily basis.

Pay - this position starts at $17/hour plus tips.

Basic Functions of the Job:

• Greet customers, answer questions, and provide professional assistance
• Oversees daily operations during shifts, ensuring all team members take their breaks and lunches.
• Manages discounts and pricing issues in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Maintains a clean and organized store environment, preparing it for customers at the start of your shift and ensuring it remains tidy throughout the shift.
• Opens the store as needed, ensuring cash drawers are prepared and balanced for the day.
• Closes the store when required, including reconciling cash in the drawer, safe, and ATM.
• Addresses escalated customer service issues as they arise.
• Ensures compliance with all regulations set forth by the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED).
• Tracks cash movement between drawers and the safe throughout the day, including cash payments for supplies.
• Counts and records all tips at the end of each shift, ensuring the Front Desk Receptionist receives their share.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

• Previous retail, and cash handling experience.
• Previous cannabis industry experience a huge plus!
• Ability to accurately count both paper money and coins. 
• Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.
• Communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills.
• Ability to motivate staff with regards to staying on task, providing great customer service, and selling our cool products!
