Lead Building Engineer - Kansas City, KS

Genesis10 is seeking a Lead Building Engineer for a full time position with our client.

Compensation: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour

M-F schedule, with on call rotation on weekends

Looking for a Lead Building Engineer who will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems in our clients' industrial facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that systems operate efficiently and safely, with an emphasis on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and repair operations of building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, and fire/life safety systems.
• Ensure that building systems function within design parameters. Perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance using CMMS (work order management system

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3+ years of job-related experience
• Minimum of 1+ year of HVAC experience
• EPA Universal CFC/608 Certification
• ​Electrical License
• Must have a valid drivers license as they will be driving company car (site to site on as needed basis)
• Understanding of Building Automation Systems and Controls
• Experience with building electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Proficient in the use of CMMS systems to manage work orders and maintenance logs
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive, proactive mindset
• Must be available for after-hours emergencies and rotating on-call duty

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk for extended periods and navigate large facilities on foot throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular engineering activities.
