Role Summary
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Analyst (Contractor) to support the design, development, and delivery of a Portfolio Management Platform within Commercial Banking. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, UX designers, technology teams, and AI/data partners to drive initiatives from discovery through implementation.
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled, hands-on business analyst who can independently own requirements, user stories, data mapping, and delivery support across complex initiatives. This individual will translate business needs into actionable solutions, navigate ambiguity, and help deliver platform capabilities that improve portfolio management processes.
The platform includes workflow, data, analytics, user experience, and AI-enabled capabilities. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis, data analysis, process design, and agile delivery experience with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, technology, UX, and AI teams.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis
" Independently gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
" Translate business needs into clear requirements, process flows, business rules, and user stories.
" Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and assumptions and drive resolution with stakeholders.
" Ensure solutions align with Commercial Banking credit and portfolio management processes.
User Experience & Process Design
" Partner with UX designers to translate business requirements into intuitive workflows, screen designs, and user experiences.
" Review and validate wireframes, prototypes, and user journeys.
" Provide business context and support usability reviews and design refinement.
Agile Product Delivery
" Create and maintain features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
" Partner with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog.
" Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, defect triage, and user acceptance testing.
" Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and support successful delivery.
Data Mapping & Integration
" Perform source-to-target data mapping across systems supporting the platform.
" Analyze data to validate requirements and support solution design.
AI-Enabled Capabilities
" Provide business context and domain expertise to support AI solution design and implementation.
" Support testing and validation of AI-enabled capabilities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
" Serve as a key liaison between business, product, UX, technology, data, and AI teams.
" Facilitate working sessions and requirements reviews.
" Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, risks, dependencies, and open issues.
" Build effective working relationships across stakeholder groups to drive alignment and execution.

Required Qualifications
" 8+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting complex technology or platform initiatives.
" Strong experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
" Proven ability to create high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business documentation.
" Hands-on experience with data analysis and source-to-target data mapping.
" Experience collaborating with UX/UI teams on workflows and screen design.
" Strong experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
" Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
" Experience using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications
" Experience supporting Credit or Portfolio Management, platforms within Commercial Banking
" Strong understanding of commercial banking processes and data.
" Experience working with AI-enabled or analytics-driven platforms.
" Experience collaborating with data engineering, analytics, or data science teams.
" Familiarity with AI concepts such as AI agents, recommendations, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
" Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and enterprise application architecture.
