Job Title: Lead Healthcare Business Analyst
Location: Reston, VA
Type: 12-Month Contract to Hire
Compensation: $71 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid ( 1 day per week )
Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze business needs by gathering, eliciting, creating, and validating user and technical requirements.
  • Contribute to project planning, organize requirements management, and provide strategic oversight to junior analysts.
  • Facilitate requirements analysis and verification sessions, track open issues, and assist in resolution planning.
  • Lead user acceptance testing, document test plans, verify results, and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot system problems, collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions and workarounds.
  • Develop detailed documentation of business systems, processes, and user needs following established standards.
  • Monitor and report project status, coordinate projects from inception to implementation, and prioritize work requests.
  • Respond to policy-related questions by conducting research and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance or related field.
  • 8 years of progressive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, testing, or related analytical roles.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous Product Owner (PO) experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, effective results on time and contribute to cost-effective solutions.
  • Strong understanding of core business analysis competencies.
  • Prior experience coaching and mentoring business analysts.
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to organize stakeholder meetings and effectively use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Capacity to train and mentor others.
