Team Overview

The BT department / team will work across all business units of the Bank to address Information Technology projects and provide support for assigned Information Technology systems implemented at the Bank.

Position Overview

The Lead Business Systems Analyst drives the delivery of complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives by translating business objectives into scalable, well-architected solutions. This role leads end-to-end analysis, supports solution design and integration, and ensures alignment with enterprise standards. Acting as a key liaison across business, technology, and vendors, the role also provides leadership through mentoring, governance support, and driving best practices in analysis and delivery execution.

Essential Job Function

  • Lead end-to-end requirements lifecycle (elicitation, documentation, validation, and traceability).

  • Translate business needs into functional designs, process flows, and system/integration specifications.

  • Partner with architecture and engineering teams to shape scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

  • Identify and drive process optimization, automation, and modernization opportunities.

  • Support project delivery across SDLC phases, including risk, issue, and stakeholder management.

  • Define and support system integrations, data mapping, and validation processes.

  • Oversee testing activities (SIT/UAT) and ensure solution quality and acceptance.

  • Act as primary liaison between business, technology, and vendors.

  • Mentor junior analysts and enforce best practices in analysis and delivery.

Experience

  • Approximately eight plus years' related experience including a solid understanding of the business with a technology focus.

  • Highly skilled and significantly demonstrated experience with business area analysis, requirements definition, logical and detailed design.

  • Experience supporting financial services, capital markets, accounting, risk management systems preferred.

  • Highly skilled with business requirements, systems analysis, evaluating, recommending, and implementing internal and third-party technology solutions, including vendor-managed platforms and SaaS applications.

  • Highly skilled in identifying opportunities for process automation, operational efficiencies, and technology modernization through business process analysis and optimization.

  • Highly skilled and significantly demonstrated experience managing major strategic bank business or technology initiatives reporting to a Senior Level Steering Committee.

  • Highly skilled in Project Management and System Development Life Cycle including design, development, and implementation of information technology systems.

  • Ability to serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
