Café Barista Lead | $19/hr | Queens, NY
NU3S is launching our Market Café and looking for a skilled, service-driven Barista Lead to help us get it right from day one. You'll craft exceptional beverages, mentor your team, and help set the standard for quality and hospitality. Proficiency with fully and semi-automatic espresso machines is required.
What You'll Do
• Lead and train baristas in beverage preparation and guest service
• Support scheduling, inventory, and day-to-day café organization
• Prepare espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, shakes, and food items
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and warmth
• Monitor café performance and contribute to operational reporting
• Cross-train and support other roles as needed
What We're Looking For
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a café or food service setting
• Strong knowledge of espresso, blended beverages, and food preparation
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Flexible availability — early mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
• A genuine passion for hospitality and team development
